Daily Fantasy Sports Rules and Scoring

Official Rules for Runtiva Daily Fantasy Sports

Welcome to Runtiva, your platform for daily fantasy sports contests featuring leagues such as the NFL, NBA, MLB, and more. These rules describe how our contests function, from eligibility and entry to scoring and payouts, to promote fairness and clarity for all participants. Separate scoring details for each sport are available here. By entering any contest, you agree to follow these rules, along with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. We may revise these rules from time to time, so please check back regularly for updates.

Eligibility

To participate in our contests, you must satisfy age, location, and other eligibility criteria to ensure compliance and fairness. The minimum age requirement is 18 years old, though it is higher in select states: 19 in Alabama and Nebraska, and 21 in Arizona, Massachusetts and Virginia. We may request verification of your age and identity at any time using government-issued documentation. You must be physically present in a U.S. state or territory where daily fantasy sports are permitted when registering, depositing funds, or entering contests, and we employ geolocation technology to confirm this—entries from restricted areas will be invalid. Paid contests are unavailable in the following states:

  • Connecticut
  • Hawaii
  • Idaho
  • Iowa
  • Louisiana
  • Maine
  • Michigan
  • Montana
  • Nevada
  • Washington
  • U.S. Territories outside of the continental United States.

Account Management, Multiple Accounts and Collusion

Each user is permitted only one account and creating multiple accounts ("multi-accounting"), sharing accounts, or colluding with others (e.g., coordinating strategies for unfair advantages) is strictly prohibited. Violations, as determined in our sole discretion, may result in immediate disqualification, suspension or termination of all associated accounts, forfeiture or revocation of any winnings, and permanent bans. For security, select a strong password and update it regularly—never share your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity on your account, so report any suspected unauthorized access promptly and review your settings periodically to maintain control.

Suspended Accounts

To keep our platform fair and enjoyable for everyone, we have clear guidelines in place to protect its integrity. Please avoid any behaviors that could undermine fair play, such as cheating, using automated scripts or bots, accessing non-public information, or engaging in any form of manipulation that affects contests. If you violate any of the terms of use, we may suspend some or all features on your account. Suspended users are to respect disciplinary actions, and you may communicate with us at support@runtiva.com.

Entering Contests

Our platform offers a variety of contest structures to suit different preferences, including head-to-head matchups where you compete directly against one opponent, larger tournaments with multiple participants, guaranteed prize pools that ensure the advertised payouts regardless of entry numbers, and specialized slates like full-game coverage, second half only, or showdown formats focusing on key matchups. Entry fees vary by contest and are clearly displayed in the contest lobby, along with prize structures and any maximum entry limits per user to maintain balance. Free practice contests are also available for those looking to familiarize themselves without risk. Slate-specific rules apply, such as lock times that typically occur at the start of the first relevant game, after which no changes can be made. Roster sizes depend on the sport and format, and all details are provided upfront so you can review them before committing to an entry.

Lineup Construction and Submission

Building your lineup involves selecting players within the guidelines for each contest to create a competitive team. Each contest features a salary or credits cap that limits your total spending on players, with salaries or points assigned based on our performance projections, which are final and non-negotiable. You must fill required positions specific to the sport, such as quarterback and running backs in football, and duplicates are generally not allowed unless the contest rules specify otherwise. Player eligibility considers factors like injury designations or multi-position qualifications, and only those scheduled to play in real-world games during the contest period count. You can edit your lineup freely until the lock time, but no substitutions or changes are permitted afterward. If a lineup is submitted with empty spots or ineligible players, those positions will score zero points, potentially impacting your overall performance. Entry limits are set per contest to promote fairness, and we prohibit the use of any automated tools for submissions.

Scoring and Stat Verification

Scoring in our contests is based on real-world player performances, using statistics from reputable stats partners that we consider official and reliable. These providers supply the data we use to calculate points automatically, and while they may occasionally issue corrections, such changes do not typically affect contests that have already been settled and paid out. However, we reserve the right to review and adjust results if significant errors are identified, which could involve reversing settlements and reprocessing payouts to ensure accuracy. Final results are posted shortly after all relevant games conclude, with live updates available during events for tracking. In the rare event of a major discrepancy, our decisions on verification and adjustments are binding to maintain the integrity of the contests.

Fair Play and Contest Integrity

We are committed to upholding fair play, and any attempts to undermine it are strictly prohibited, including collusion among users, the use of scripting or bots to automate entries, accessing or using insider information, or operating multiple accounts to manipulate outcomes. Our systems actively monitor for such activities, and if detected, we may remove the user from the contest, cancel their entries, or take further actions like account suspension. We also reserve the right to cancel entire contests if integrity is compromised, with refunds issued as appropriate. Participants with connections to teams or events, such as employees or those with non-public data, must disclose this and may be barred from related contests. By participating, you agree to cooperate with any investigations, and violations can lead to forfeiture of winnings and potential legal reporting to protect the platform and other users.

We reserve the right to cancel contests at our sole discretion, without any restrictions, though we would typically do so only in cases where problems on our platform or events affecting the real-world games raise questions about the integrity of the contest.

Deposits

Managing funds in your account wallet is key to joining paid contests, and we offer secure deposit options to get you started. You may deposit using the payment methods shown on our deposit page, including debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover), online banking, and PayPal (where American Express can be used). Minimum deposit amounts start at $10 and may vary by method, with any applicable fees displayed during the process—all transactions are in U.S. dollars. Deposits are final once processed, and if you encounter any issues, contact our support team for assistance.

We do not provide refunds for deposits except as required by law or due to errors on our end. For security, verification is required for large deposits, and you can access your balance and transaction history via your account dashboard. We may impose limits based on your account status or regulations, including daily caps ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 depending on factors like account history. In line with state requirements, we restrict monthly deposits (over a 31-day period) for residents of certain states unless you request and receive approval for an increase: $1,000 for Massachusetts, $2,500 for Tennessee, and $5,000 for Maryland.

Contest Settlement and Redeeming Contest Winnings

Once a contest concludes, we determine winners based on final scores, with ties resolved by splitting prizes equally among the tied participants unless the specific contest rules state otherwise. Prize distribution follows the structure outlined before entry, and for guaranteed pools, we ensure the full amount is paid even if entries fall short. Settlements typically occur within 48 hours, with winnings credited directly to your account balance for use in future contests or withdrawal. We prioritize accuracy in this process, applying any necessary corrections before finalizing results, and once settled, outcomes are considered final. For non-guaranteed contests, if entry levels are too low, we may cancel and refund fees. When redeeming winnings, note that amounts with more than two decimal places are truncated rather than rounded, and large payouts may require additional verification. You are responsible for any taxes on winnings, and we report those over $600 annually via Form 1099-MISC.

Dispute Resolution and Appeals

If you believe there is an error in contest results, such as a scoring discrepancy or stat issue, submit a written dispute to our support team at support@runtiva.com within seven days of settlement, providing details and evidence. We review these promptly, consulting official data sources, and may adjust outcomes if warranted, though most stat challenges are resolved based on provider verification. If you are not satisfied with the resolution, you can submit a complaint to the applicable regulatory agency at that time. We aim to resolve disputes amicably whenever possible. Note that our decisions on appeals are final in most cases, ensuring timely closure for all participants.

Account Inactivity

Accounts that remain dormant without activity, such as no contest entries, deposits or withdrawals, for 12 months are considered inactive. In such cases, we may apply a monthly maintenance fee of $5 to cover administrative costs, deducted from your balance until it reaches zero or you reactivate the account. We notify you via email before any fees begin, giving you time to log in and resume activity. If your balance is depleted due to inactivity fees, the account may be closed, but you can contact support to reopen it with proper verification. This policy helps us manage resources efficiently while encouraging active participation.

Bonuses, Promotions, and Referral Programs

We occasionally offer bonuses, promotions, and referral programs to enhance your experience, each with specific terms outlined when available. For example, deposit bonuses may require a minimum amount and come with wagering requirements, meaning you must enter contests totaling a certain multiple of the bonus before withdrawing related winnings. Promotions have expiration dates, and eligibility is limited to verified accounts in good standing, often excluding those with prior violations. Referral programs reward you for inviting friends who sign up and meet activity thresholds, but abuse like creating fake referrals is prohibited and can void benefits. All offers are subject to change, and we reserve the right to revoke them if terms are not met. Check the promotions page for current details to make the most of these opportunities.
